Former Formula 1 champion David Coulthard has married Swedish model Sigrid Silversand in a star-studded ceremony held at his 85-acre estate, Barwhinnock House, in Scotland. Silversand, who is more than 20 years younger than the 55-year-old Coulthard, is his second wife. The couple recently celebrated their union with friends and fellow celebrities.
Among the notable guests were former Spice Girl Geri Horner and her husband Christian Horner, who were seen arriving near the venue. Other attendees included former F1 drivers Mika Häkkinen, Martin Brundle, and Jean Alesi, as well as DJ Professor Green. Scots TV presenter Lee McKenzie shared social media updates from a helicopter en route to the celebration, accompanied by Sir Jackie Stewart and former racing driver Mark Webber. Both McKenzie and Webber were seen enjoying champagne.
There was also speculation that TV personality Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes, whose daughter Coulthard is godfather to, would attend the festivities. The wedding celebrations were expected to conclude with a fireworks display.
Coulthard and Silversand reportedly met around 2021, after Coulthard's split from his first wife, Karen Minier, with whom he has a 17-year-old son, Dayton. The couple became engaged in Mauritius last year, and are understood to have had a civil wedding in Monaco, where Coulthard is based. Silversand described the engagement as a surprise, noting Coulthard's ability to keep secrets.
Earlier this month, Coulthard was reportedly carried away from his stag do in Puerto Banus, Spain, following a lengthy drinking session. He was seen stumbling out of a bar with friends, including Chris Hughes. Reports indicated the stag party enjoyed an extensive day of celebrations, including a 13-hour drinking session.
Coulthard, who previously raced for Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull, was married to Karen Minier, a Belgian Formula One correspondent, from 2013 to 2022.
