The Daily Mail has published a correction saying it wrongly reported that BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough had faced accusations of bullying by production staff.
The newspaper said an article published on 30 November 2024 suggested production staff had complained about McCullough's behaviour and that he had been investigated or disciplined. McCullough contacted the paper to say those claims were untrue; the Daily Mail said it accepted that he did not bully any production staff and that there were no complaints, investigations or disciplinary action.
In its clarification and apology, published 13 September 2025, the Daily Mail said it was "happy to make this clear and to apologise to Mr McCullough for any distress caused." The correction also set out ways for readers to report inaccuracies and make formal complaints under press standards rules.
Readers who believe an inaccuracy has been published were directed to email [email protected]. The paper said a formal complaint under Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) rules can be made via the Daily Mail readers' editor page at www.mailonline.co.uk/readerseditor. It also provided a postal address for the Readers' Editor at Northcliffe House, 9 Derry Street, London W8 5TT, and noted that IPSO can be contacted directly at ipso.co.uk.
Dean McCullough is a presenter on BBC Radio 1. The Daily Mail's correction follows established practice in British press outlets of publishing clarifications and apologies when reporting errors are identified and confirmed.
