A father at Wollert Secondary College in Melbourne, Australia, was allegedly beaten by a student trained in MMA after confronting and threatening a student he believed was bullying his daughter, according to reports. The incident occurred on Monday as the father arrived to pick up his daughter.

The father approached a group of Year 7 boys and, according to the Herald Sun, threatened to "slash the throat" of one student who was not involved in the alleged bullying. An older student, who trains in MMA, intervened in the confrontation and proceeded to assault the father in front of other students, including his daughter.

The extent of the father's injuries was not immediately clear, and it was not specified if a formal police report had been filed. Parents at the school expressed concerns about safety, with one parent telling the Herald Sun that the father should have verified the identity of the alleged bully or reported the issue to school administration. This incident follows a previous report of a student being arrested at the same school earlier this year for swinging a chain on campus.
