Cow Rescued by Helicopter from French Mountain

A cow named Vahine has been rescued by helicopter after becoming stuck in mud on a mountain in the French Pyrenees.

Rescue teams were alerted when Vahine was unable to free herself from the mud and was too weak to descend the mountain.

Because vehicles could not reach her location, an airlift was determined to be the only viable option for her rescue. Video footage shows Vahine suspended and being transported through the air over the mountain range.

The operation concluded successfully, with Vahine safely brought to the bottom of the mountain and recovering. The incident occurred on September 21, 2026.
