A restaurant owner has criticized a couple who allegedly left his establishment without settling a £115 bill for a seafood dinner and drinks. The incident occurred on Monday evening at The Custom House in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan.

The diners reportedly consumed a two-course set menu, calamari, a £52 Dover sole, and eight Cokes. According to restaurant staff, the pair departed the premises while staff attention was diverted, leaving before the manager could intervene. Their vehicle was no longer in the car park when staff checked.

CCTV footage captured the couple during their meal. Following the incident, the restaurant posted an appeal on social media, asking the individuals to return and arrange payment. South Wales Police have confirmed they are investigating the matter.

"We'd much rather resolve this directly and appreciate you getting in touch with us as soon as possible," the restaurant stated in its appeal.
