A Porter Airlines flight bound for Toronto was canceled last Thursday after a young child refused to sit down and buckle up, according to ABC News.

The incident occurred at Victoria International Airport in British Columbia. The flight was forced to return to the terminal after repeated attempts by the parent and crew to secure the child in their seat were unsuccessful.

The return to the terminal and the subsequent removal of the parent and child, along with their baggage, delayed the flight past the airport's runway closure time of 12:30 a.m. This forced the remaining passengers to disembark.

Porter Airlines apologized to the affected passengers and rebooked them on a flight the following day. The airline did not immediately provide further comment.
