A seven-year-old boy was hospitalized and two other children sustained minor injuries when a car crashed into a chicken shop in Sydney's Northern Beaches on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at Wicked Chicken in Allambie Heights when a BMW station wagon smashed through the establishment's front.
The young boy, who was reportedly sitting at a table inside the restaurant at the time of the crash, received treatment at the scene for leg and arm injuries. He was subsequently transported to Sydney Children's Hospital. Two other children present were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The driver of the BMW underwent a breath test at the location. The New South Wales Police have stated that an investigation into the circumstances of the crash has commenced.
