A British woman is facing a medical bill of approximately £10,000 after sustaining severe injuries in a fall from a hotel balcony in Greece while celebrating her 30th birthday.

Denby McLaren, from Larkhall, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, broke her back and multiple bones in her foot during the incident, which occurred when she plunged from the third floor of a hotel.

Her partner, Craig Anderson, has launched a fundraising campaign to help cover her medical expenses and facilitate her return to the UK. He described the situation as a "worst nightmare" for the family, emphasizing the fear and uncertainty they are currently experiencing.

Mclaren was on holiday with her mother when the accident happened. She has been hospitalized in Greece for four days.

The South Lanarkshire woman has now been left stranded in hospital with a £10,000 medical bill

Due to the severity of her injuries, Ms. McLaren requires specialized repatriation via air ambulance, accompanied by medical assistance throughout the journey. Mr. Anderson noted the overwhelming emotional and financial strain the situation has placed on the family.

As of the latest reports, the fundraising page has garnered over £11,000 in donations.
