British Teacher Fights for Life in Dubai After Losing Baby During Emergency C-Section

A British teacher is critically ill in a Dubai hospital after losing her unborn son during an emergency Cesarean section. Zoey Campbell-Lowndes, originally from Manchester, was placed in a medically induced coma when her condition worsened following the procedure.

Campbell-Lowndes was 30 weeks pregnant when her baby boy died. Her family reported that her liver and kidneys are failing, and she has experienced two instances of internal bleeding, necessitating blood transfusions and dialysis. Doctors are currently working to save her life.

Her family has launched a GoFundMe appeal, seeking to raise £100,000 to cover her medical treatment costs. They explained that while Zoey had insurance, it did not cover the extensive care she now requires. In a statement on the fundraising page, they described the situation as 'every parent's worst nightmare' and a profound tragedy that has compounded their grief.

The appeal has garnered significant support, raising nearly £98,000 from over 2,000 donors as of the latest updates. The family's primary focus is on ensuring Zoey receives the best possible care for her recovery and eventual return home.
