British Mother Fights for Life in Dubai After Losing Unborn Son
A British woman is in critical condition in a Dubai hospital after an emergency C-section resulted in the loss of her unborn son at 30 weeks pregnant.

Zoey Campbell-Lowndes, originally from Manchester, England, was placed in a medically induced coma as doctors worked to save her life. Her condition worsened following the emergency procedure, leading to her transfer to intensive care.
Her family reported that Campbell-Lowndes's liver and kidneys are failing, and she has experienced two instances of internal bleeding, necessitating blood transfusions and dialysis. She had been told the devastating news that her baby boy had died prior to undergoing the emergency Cesarean section.
Campbell-Lowndes had an insurance plan for childbirth, but according to her family, it did not cover the extensive medical treatment she now requires, only emergency care related to the baby. This has led to a significant financial burden on the family as they cope with their grief and her critical condition.
A GoFundMe appeal launched by her family aims to raise £100,000 to cover her medical expenses. The family described the situation as 'every parent's worst nightmare,' adding that 'what should have been a time of excitement and preparation for welcoming her little boy into the world has instead become an unimaginable tragedy.'
As of the report, the appeal had garnered nearly £98,000 from over 2,000 donors. The family stated their primary goal is to give Campbell-Lowndes 'every possible chance to recover and come home to the people who love her,' while also navigating the loss of her son.
