A three-year-old British girl has died after being found 'floating face-down' in a swimming pool at a rented villa in Pollensa, Majorca. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and the child was revived by the poolside by her parents. Police and paramedics continued CPR at the scene before the girl was rushed to Son Espases Hospital in Palma.

She remained in serious condition through her first night in the hospital, but tragically passed away Thursday afternoon. A Civil Guard investigation into the incident is ongoing.

This is the fourth incident involving a British family and young children in Spanish waters in just over a week. In a separate case on Wednesday, a one-year-old British toddler died in hospital after being rescued from a hotel pool in Fuerteventura. The child had been found floating on June 15 and was airlifted to a hospital in Gran Canaria in critical condition, later succumbing to irreversible neurological damage.

Earlier, on Saturday, a four-year-old British girl drowned in a hotel swimming pool in Lanzarote despite resuscitation efforts. Additionally, last Wednesday, a three-year-old British boy died after falling into a swimming pool at a holiday home near the Costa del Sol. Emergency services responded to that incident, which occurred on June 17, but could not save the child.
