A Brazilian social media influencer, Kauana Bilhar, 27, has died after falling from the 27th floor of a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Her mother, Darla Bilhar, confirmed the death on social media.
Bilhar, who had recently become engaged, was traveling in Dubai when the incident occurred. Her partner, Barbara Abrantes, was reportedly with her at the time and informed her family of the tragedy.
Officials have not yet determined whether the fall was a suicide, an accident, or a homicide. The exact date of Bilhar's death was not immediately specified.
Darla Bilhar has traveled to Dubai to cooperate with investigators and to make arrangements for her daughter's body to be returned to Brazil. In a tribute posted on Instagram, she wrote, "There are no words capable of expressing the magnitude of the longing you left behind." She added, "Today you are no longer by my side as I dreamed, but you will live forever within me. I love you infinitely, my girl. Until the day we can meet again."
Bilhar had amassed over 21,000 followers on Instagram, where she frequently shared photos and videos of her travels and lifestyle. Following her death, her mother urged for respect for her daughter, stating, "My daughter deserves respect," after her posts were reportedly inundated with hateful comments.
