The body of 23-year-old musician Michael Curnow has been found in Mount Crawford Forest, northeast of Adelaide, more than a year after he vanished. His remains were discovered on Tuesday after a member of the public located a mountain bike and helmet.

Curnow, described as a talented musician, was last seen on April 24 of the previous year. He had informed his parents that he was going to the hills to "do some contemplating" before driving off with his bike. An extensive search was initiated when he did not return home.

His black Hyundai station wagon was found the following day near the area where he was last believed to have gone missing. Dashcam footage later captured a man matching Curnow's description walking along a road near Kersbrook, approximately 15 minutes from the forest, the morning after his disappearance. However, no further sightings were reported.

Police stated that they are not treating Curnow's death as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner. The Advertiser reported on the details of the discovery.
