Body Found in Search for Missing 17-Year-Old Boy in Scotland
Authorities have located a body in Mugdock Country Park following a four-day search for Kristijonas Demcenko, who disappeared Monday.
A body has been discovered in Mugdock Country Park as authorities continued their search for Kristijonas Demcenko, a 17-year-old boy who had been missing since Monday afternoon. Police Scotland confirmed the discovery Friday.
Kristijonas was last seen at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Mugdock Road and Douglas Street in Milngavie, a suburb of Glasgow. He was captured on CCTV walking towards the Mugdock Road car park, wearing a black jacket, black jeans, and black trainers with white soles. He was also carrying a black bag.
A search was initiated after he was reported missing on the same day he was last seen. Residents were asked to check garden sheds and outbuildings for any signs of the teenager and to review dashcam and doorbell footage for sightings.
Police stated that while formal identification is pending, Kristijonas's family has been informed of the discovery. The death is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
