Beauty influencer and mother Adriana García, 30, died after experiencing complications during a cosmetic surgery procedure on Tuesday, according to reports. García, who had over 90,000 social media followers, underwent the operation at a private clinic in Sinaloa, Mexico.
The cause of death has not yet been revealed, and local health officials have launched an investigation into the incident. Drop Shop, a Mexican retailer with whom García collaborated, confirmed her death.
"Today we bid farewell to a member of the Drop Shop family, fondly remembering her wonderful character, her dedication, and the moments we shared with her," the company stated in a tribute. García is survived by her 6-year-old daughter.
García's last social media post was on July 1, sharing photos from a previous trip. In May, she had shared a picture with her daughter and reflected on a difficult month in which she lost her father and grandfather.
"Hello to my 30s… with a heart full of eternal love for you both," she wrote, marking her birthday in April.
