A Bad Bunny concert in Milan was abruptly canceled Saturday evening due to a severe hailstorm, forcing the evacuation of approximately 80,000 fans and resulting in some attendees sustaining head injuries. The show, held at the open-air La Maura Hippodrome, was halted during the seventh song as conditions deteriorated rapidly with wind, lightning, rain, and hail.

Footage circulating online depicted the extent of the disruption, with some videos showing individuals being treated for injuries sustained from the large hailstones, described as being golf ball-sized. Attendees were seen using umbrellas, coats, and plastic sheeting to shield themselves from the severe weather.

Event officials consulted with local police and decided to cancel the concert entirely, with no plans for rescheduling. Ticket holders are to be refunded. Roberto De Luca, head of LiveNation Italy, stated that organizers did everything possible to manage the emergency and thanked the security personnel and the audience for their cooperation. De Luca noted that he had never encountered such an emergency in his 45 years in the industry.

The evacuation process began around 9:30 p.m. local time and concluded by 10:20 p.m.

The evacuation began at around 9.30pm local time, and ended at 10.20pm that evening

Elsewhere in Europe, severe weather has led to significant events. In Spain, multiple wildfires are ongoing, forcing the evacuation of hundreds of residents. A blaze north of Madrid has consumed approximately 13,000 hectares, and another near Zaragoza saw about 1,000 residents evacuated. Spain is bracing for its third heatwave of the summer, with temperatures potentially reaching 45 degrees Celsius, increasing the risk of further fires. France has also seen thousands evacuated from its Mediterranean regions due to fast-moving wildfires, some of which threatened homes and disrupted the Tour de France.
