Australian actor Josh Quong Tart has pleaded guilty to high-range drink-driving following a single-vehicle crash that occurred on April 12, 2026. Tart, 50, who has appeared in Australian television dramas such as 'Home and Away,' 'All Saints,' and 'Underbelly: Badness,' was found behind the wheel of a white Toyota Corolla that had veered off the road and into a ditch near his Burrill Lake home.
Emergency services were called to River Road at Lake Tabourie shortly after 11:15 a.m. on the day of the incident. Paramedics treated Tart at the scene before transporting him to Milton Hospital, where he recorded a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.36. A reading above 0.3 is considered potentially life-threatening.
According to reports, Tart had been drinking over several days prior to the crash. The South Coast Police District issued the actor with a court attendance notice for high-range prescribed concentration of alcohol on June 24, 2026.
Tart has since entered a guilty plea and is scheduled to appear at Newtown Local Court for sentencing on August 25, 2026. This is not the actor's first encounter with the legal system; he previously avoided a criminal conviction in 2020 after a separate incident was handled under mental health legislation, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Tart's acting credits include portraying Miles 'Milco' Copeland in 'Home and Away' from 2007, Matt Horner in 'All Saints' between 1999 and 2004, and playing Andrew 'Undies' Perish in 'Underbelly: Badness.' He has also performed on stage, including a role as Scar in the Australian production of 'The Lion King.'
