An investigation has been launched into the cause of a helicopter crash that killed all 14 individuals on board in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday morning. The helicopter was owned by Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company, which is majority-owned by the Kingdom.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. local time, and all of the deceased were Saudi nationals, the Ministry of Energy stated.

Saudi Aramco has been navigating disruptions to oil supplies and price volatility stemming from the ongoing conflict involving Iran. The company has stated it has rerouted some oil exports to a pipeline to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway that has seen its security impacted by regional tensions.
