Vogue Williams has shared that Zendaya and Tom Holland's recent wedding celebration at a Surrey hotel interfered with plans for her husband Spencer Matthews' birthday. The "Spider-Man" stars are said to have held a three-day, £500,000 wedding event at the five-star Beaverbrook Hotel, booking out the entire venue.
Williams, who is pregnant with her fourth child, had intended to treat Matthews to a luxury stay at the hotel for his 38th birthday. However, the venue was fully booked due to the wedding festivities. "I was, like, it would be nice to go to a hotel near London so I'm near my doctor if I have to come back," Williams told the Daily Mail's Eden Confidential. "We were going to go up to Spenny's parents' place in Scotland, but I wasn't allowed to fly, so I was meant to go to Beaverbrook, but Zendaya and Tom Holland had gotten married there, so they were totally booked out."
The Beaverbrook Hotel, located near Leatherhead, is a 370-acre estate that once belonged to newspaper proprietor Lord Beaverbrook. It features 56 rooms and suites, and a Japanese restaurant with unique dining tables. Standard rooms can range from £420 to £1,200 per night.
To maintain privacy during their wedding, Zendaya and Holland reportedly banned guests and staff from using mobile phones. The event was attended by approximately 250 guests, including notable figures such as Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, as well as Robert Downey Jr. Some guests arrived by helicopter.
Sources described the couple's speeches as "beautiful and emotional," leaving guests moved to tears. The celebration included flowing champagne, croquet on the grounds, Japanese cuisine, and a pool party. A red and blue light display, a nod to Holland's superhero character, was also featured. A rehearsal dinner reportedly took place the day before the ceremony, with Tom Holland's brother, Sam Holland, serving as best man.
Zendaya and Tom Holland, who have been romantically linked since meeting on the set of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2016, recently concluded promotions for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." Zendaya was seen wearing her wedding ring for the first time following the event. Holland previously confirmed their marriage in an interview, stating, "I found my person, I'm the happiest I've ever been." This followed speculation fueled by AI-generated wedding images that circulated online. Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, had also alluded to the wedding having already occurred in February.
