Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, a White House official confirmed.
Zelenskyy is expected to be in Washington, D.C., to attend the funeral of Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Ukrainian official told ABC News. Graham and Zelenskyy had maintained a close relationship, and the South Carolina Republican had visited Ukraine shortly before his death.
The planned meeting comes as Zelenskyy claimed on social media that he was directing Ukraine's intelligence services to share information regarding Russia's assistance to Iran amid the ongoing war.
In a post on X, Zelenskyy stated that since the beginning of July, Ukraine had recorded Russian satellite surveillance of Arab Gulf allies and U.S. military facilities in the region. He alleged a "clear correlation" between Russia’s satellite imagery of these sites and Iranian strikes, both before and after the attacks.
The White House did not respond to inquiries regarding Ukraine's allegations or whether they had received the intelligence cited by Zelenskyy.
President Trump, speaking on Friday, expressed his belief that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping were not providing significant assistance to Iran. "Well, I don't know that they're enabling. I mean, I will tell you that President XI said he will not partake. And President Putin said the same thing," Trump told reporters when asked if he agreed with assertions that Russia and China were enabling Iran to varying degrees.
