Zara McDermott Calls Louis Tomlinson Her 'Prince Charming' as They Move In Together

Zara McDermott has described her boyfriend Louis Tomlinson as her "Prince Charming" and revealed that they have moved in together, speaking about their "fairy tale" relationship for the first time.

The former Love Island contestant, 29, began dating the One Direction singer, 34, in early 2025. McDermott told Cosmopolitan that the couple have been living together for "a while now" and that their relationship has been "amazing."

"He’s like my Prince Charming. He’s like my fairy tale," McDermott said. "He is genuinely the most amazing person I’ve ever met in my life, he’s an inspiration to me in so many ways. He is the most empathetic, considerate, kind person."

McDermott shared that the couple divide their time between the United Kingdom and the United States, where Tomlinson's son Freddie resides. She also expressed her desire to keep certain aspects of their romance private, stating that not knowing "how we met or anything about our relationship" is a "beautiful thing to have just for you."

The couple made their relationship Instagram-official in June of the previous year, five months after they started dating, during a trip to Glastonbury. McDermott acknowledged Tomlinson's substantial fan base, noting their protectiveness and loyalty.

"I knew that Lou was going to have a huge fan base, and his fan base are so protective and loving and supportive of him in every way. I understand their protectiveness. It’s like a fierce loyalty," McDermott said.

Tomlinson recently achieved a number one album with "How Did I Get Here?" McDermott has been supporting him on his solo tour, though her own work commitments have occasionally required her to return to the UK.

McDermott had previously been in a relationship with Sam Thompson of "Made in Chelsea," with whom she lived before moving back in with her parents after their split. Thompson has since begun a relationship with influencer Talitha Balinska.
