Singer Zara Larsson recounted an unusual situation where she discovered a friend had moved in with her ex-partner after checking the "Find My Friends" app. The 28-year-old Swedish artist shared the anecdote during a promotional tour for her remix album, "Midnight Sun: Girls Trip," while appearing on Capital Breakfast's "A Very British Day Out with Jordan North."
Larsson explained that she noticed her friend's location pinpointed at her ex's house on the app. She recalled thinking, "Wait a minute, why is my friend at my ex's house?" Larsson remembers the ex's address and believes her friend may not have realized Larsson could see her location.
Upon speaking with another friend, Larsson learned that the friend in question had indeed moved. This move occurred after the friend ended her engagement to her fiancé. Larsson stated that her friend now lives in the same house as her ex, though she believes they are not currently romantically involved. However, Larsson admitted she has not yet spoken to her friend about the situation, referring to it as "the tea."
Jordan North expressed surprise at the revelation, with Larsson confirming she recognized the address as familiar when she saw it on the app. When asked if her friend and ex knew each other, Larsson responded that they did "kind of," adding that while the situation could be innocent, she had heard rumors.
North commented on the awkwardness of the situation, referencing a British saying about not "s**t[ting] on your own doorstep," implying that even an ex's living space should be off-limits. Larsson recently reflected on a past period in her career she described as a "flop era." She told Vogue Singapore that this time taught her not to let external opinions dictate her career timeline and that quiet periods can serve as seasons for rebuilding and learning.
Larsson first gained significant attention in 2016 with her songs "Lush Life" and "Never Forget You." She has previously faced career setbacks and criticism, including feuds with other artists and controversy over her comments on abortion. Despite these challenges, she stated that her experiences have made her more resilient, and the fear of a "flop era" no longer deters her.
