Zacharia Praises Trump's 'Never Quit' Ethos, Cites Economic and Diplomatic Wins
Former White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia argues Donald Trump's relentless campaign style and policy achievements are key to the upcoming midterms.
Former White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia has voiced her continued support for Donald Trump, emphasizing his persistent campaign efforts and highlighting a range of his administration's economic and diplomatic accomplishments. Zacharia, currently in California, described her situation as a "temporary pause" from what she considers the most important work, reaffirming her commitment to the "America First agenda."
Zacharia invoked Trump's own words from "The Art of the Comeback" – "Never quit and always hit back" – stating these principles continue to guide her and that she has observed Trump embodying them on the campaign trail.
"I saw him stand for the candidates he endorsed, speak for hours, and refuse to treat the midterms as a managed decline," Zacharia wrote, noting the "pure, unrelenting energy and enthusiasm" she witnessed at Trump's rallies. She asserted that Trump is working harder than any previous president to elect "America First" candidates, driven by the need to boost turnout.
Policy Achievements
Zacharia cited several policy areas as evidence of Trump's success. She highlighted the near-cessation of illegal border crossings during his tenure, calling it an "historic achievement." She also pointed to his use of tariff policy, which she stated generated substantial customs revenue and secured trillions of dollars in announced investment and purchase commitments.
Diplomatically, Zacharia claimed Trump's efforts ended eight conflicts in eight months, including a Gaza ceasefire framework that concluded immediate fighting and freed hostages. She also mentioned his mediation of other conflicts while asserting his willingness to use force to protect American interests.
Economically, Zacharia detailed several investments and projects she attributed to Trump's policies. These included a $15 billion steel complex in Iowa by Mesabi Metallics, intended to create 1,750 permanent jobs and support up to 6,000 construction jobs. She also noted energy investments from South Korea totaling up to $200 billion, including plans for eight large-scale nuclear plants and investment in the Alaska liquefied natural gas pipeline. Furthermore, she mentioned a $22.3 billion investment for a natural gas power facility in Texas and a $6.6 billion investment by the Navy and Anduril Industries in Maryland for a shipyard to produce components for Virginia-class submarines, which she stated represents the largest new American shipbuilding push in generations.
Critiques of Opposition
Zacharia also addressed criticism from within the Republican party, referencing Karl Rove's commentary and suggesting that figures like him undermine Republican candidates. She drew a contrast with the George W. Bush administration, stating that the "Bush Republicans accepted defeat before the first ballots were cast," while Trump demonstrates a strong "will to win."
She concluded by urging supporters to "Show up. Vote for the candidates President Trump has endorsed. Fight, fight, fight," echoing Trump's own "never quit" philosophy. She encouraged voters to engage with the midterms as active participants rather than passive observers.
