Zach LaVine's Wife Reacts to Hot Mic Moment

Hunter LaVine, wife of Sacramento Kings guard Zach LaVine, has responded after a hot mic incident during media day captured reporters discussing her husband's looks.

During a live stream of the Kings' media day press conference, two women identified as reporters were overheard making comments about LaVine and his teammate Ben Simmons. One reporter asked about Simmons, stating, "Allegedly, I like lightskins, I guess." When asked about LaVine, the same reporter described him as "Hella fine!" but added that his "personality annoys the s*** out of me, so that’s what makes him less fine."

The other woman agreed, calling LaVine "beautiful" but asserting that his "personality f****** annoys me." The reporters then jokingly ranked Simmons above LaVine, with one saying Simmons "looks way younger."

The video of the exchange quickly gained traction online. Hunter LaVine shared her reaction to the incident via her Instagram story. She initially posted a video of the hot mic moment with several laughing emojis and later shared a screenshot of her comment on an Instagram post about the event, which read, "a great start to the season!" She also shared a separate Instagram story that showed her in a beach setting with the caption, "😂😂😂😂😂".

Zach LaVine, who exercised his $49 million player option for the 2026-27 season with the Kings in June, has not yet publicly commented on the situation.
