Actors Zac Efron, 38, and his younger brother Dylan Efron, 34, shared photos on Instagram this week highlighting their physiques during a boat excursion. The siblings, both in black swim trunks, displayed their abdominal muscles in images posted on Wednesday.
Dylan Efron captioned the post, "Taking it easy ☀️," to his nearly two million followers. The accompanying clips showed the brothers wakeboarding as they enjoyed the late summer weather. IMAGE5 IMAGE4
The outing comes more than two years after Zac Efron was hospitalized in Spain following an incident in a swimming pool at a villa in Ibiza. According to reports from the time, Efron was hospitalized after he dove into the pool and struck the bottom, causing water to enter his lungs. Sources indicated that security personnel assisted Efron, who was described as momentarily dazed, and he was transported to a medical facility as a precautionary measure. Medical staff conducted X-rays to ensure his lungs were clear of water. IMAGE6
Shortly after the pool incident, Efron shared on social media that he was "happy and healthy" and thanked fans for their well wishes. The actor has previously discussed prioritizing his mental health, noting that the extreme physical shape he achieved for the 2017 film Baywatch was not sustainable or conducive to his happiness. He has stated a commitment to maintaining a healthier balance between his professional and personal life.
Efron has also been involved in building a home in Australia, purchasing a 128-hectare property near Byron Bay in 2020. He is collaborating with designer Joost Bakker on the project, which is intended to be a unique and sustainable dwelling constructed primarily from hemp, featuring six bedroom 'pods' and a rooftop garden. Efron has mentioned that actor Russell Crowe advised him to purchase land in Australia, a decision Crowe reportedly expressed pride in for setting him up well for the future. IMAGE3
This incident also occurred more than a decade after Efron sustained a fractured jaw in 2013 from slipping at his home. IMAGE1
