Youths Engage in Violent Bus Brawl with Knives

A violent confrontation involving knives occurred on a public bus, captured on video, showing a young man armed with a large knife being attacked by multiple individuals. The incident, understood to be connected to an ongoing police investigation following a stabbing in Birmingham, unfolded in the aisle of an Arriva bus.

The footage begins with a man standing near the driver's cab, holding a knife and shouting at the driver to proceed. A group of at least four youths outside the bus were heard shouting and banging on the windows. The situation escalated when the group boarded the bus and began attacking the man with weapons, including knives and a metal object.

Passengers, including an elderly woman, were heard screaming and attempted to flee the scene but were unable to exit the vehicle due to the ferocity of the fight. One assailant was seen striking with a blade and appearing to stamp on someone on the floor as others joined the attack. The video concludes with onlookers calling for police assistance.

This event follows a stabbing incident in Birmingham city center on Tuesday evening, which left a man with injuries described by police as potentially life-changing. West Midlands Police reported that the man was chased onto a bus in Corporation Street by a group around 10:30 p.m.

Authorities have charged Dello Alphaoumar, 21, with violent disorder. A 17-year-old boy faces charges of violent disorder, threatening a person with a blade, and possession of a hammer. A second 16-year-old boy has been released on bail. Police are still seeking a fourth suspect and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with footage to come forward. Information can be provided by calling 101 or using the West Midlands Police live chat, referencing log 5780 of October 13.
