Authorities have shifted a missing person investigation to a death investigation after a young mother of seven was found deceased. Tatiana McIntyre, 29, who used the name Alison Riley, had been missing since Tuesday afternoon.
Riley was last heard from when she visited her ex-boyfriend’s home to see their two children around 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday. Her phone was reportedly pinged at the home around 1 p.m. that day before going offline, according to family members who spoke to Fox 26 News.
Concerns grew when Riley did not pick up her children from school later that day. Her family tracked a Zipcar rental she had used to an orchard near McKinley Avenue and Academy Avenue, where they found her vehicle abandoned with her belongings inside. Police took possession of the vehicle.
Homicide detectives became involved and served a search warrant at the ex-boyfriend’s home along East Grove Avenue in Fresno. Riley’s mother, Liberty Lopez, had been waiting at the scene for news about her daughter.
Friends have confirmed that Riley was found dead. The Fresno Police Department has not released further details regarding the circumstances of her death.
