A significant portion of young adults in the United States are continuing to live with their parents due to persistent economic headwinds. Approximately one in three individuals between the ages of 18 and 34 are currently residing in their family homes.
This trend is largely attributed to a combination of factors, including escalating housing prices, increased living expenses driven by inflation, and a competitive job market that presents obstacles for those entering or early in their careers. These conditions make independent living more financially daunting for many young people.
The Morning Poll is inviting the public to share their experiences regarding grown children living at home. The results of this poll are expected to be published in an upcoming edition of the Morning Mail newsletter.
