Yankees Face Elimination, Ticket Prices Drop for Pivotal ALDS Games
Last-minute tickets for potential New York Yankees home games against the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS are available at reduced prices as the team faces a 2-0 series deficit.
Last-minute tickets for potential New York Yankees home games in the American League Division Series (ALDS) against the Tampa Bay Rays are seeing price reductions, a reflection of the team's current 2-0 series deficit. The Yankees, trailing the Rays, now face a critical juncture as they return to Yankee Stadium for Games 3 and 4.
Should the Yankees manage to overcome their deficit, they would join an exclusive group of MLB teams to have come back from an 0-2 hole in a five-game series. Fans looking to support the team in these crucial contests can still find tickets for the upcoming games in the Bronx.
Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7, with an 8 p.m. EST start. The projected pitching matchup features the Rays' Nick Martinez (15-6, 3.10 ERA) against the Yankees' Max Fried (5-5, 2.80 ERA). Game 4 is set for Thursday, Oct. 8, also at 8 p.m. EST, with the Yankees' Carlos Rodón (7-3, 2.67 ERA) expected to pitch against a yet-to-be-determined Rays pitcher.
A hypothetical Game 5, if the Yankees sweep the series in New York, would take place on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
As of publication on October 6, 2026, the lowest price for a ticket to either of the potential Yankees home games was $95, including fees, on Vivid Seats. This represents a decrease of $28 from the prices reported five days prior.
The series began unfavorably for the Yankees. In Game 1, Rays pitcher Drew Rasmussen threw 7 2/3 innings of no-hit baseball. The Yankees ultimately lost Game 2 with a score of 5-2, marred by four errors.
Fans can find ticket prices for the Yankees' potential home games, which have decreased since October 1. Game 3 tickets start at $98 (including fees), down from $123. Game 4 tickets are available starting at $95 (including fees), also down from $123.
Tickets for a potential Game 5 in Tampa Bay are also available. For those looking ahead, tickets for later rounds of the playoffs, including the ALCS and World Series, can also be procured. Yankees playoff games can be watched on ESPN via DIRECTV.
