Yankees and Red Sox Kick Off Wild Card Series on NBC and Peacock
The historic rivalry continues in the MLB postseason with Game 1 of the Wild Card series.
The New York Yankees are set to host the Boston Red Sox for Game 1 of their American League Wild Card series on September 29. The matchup will be broadcast on NBC and available for streaming on Peacock.
This best-of-three series marks a new chapter in the storied rivalry between the two teams as they compete in the postseason.
For the Yankees, pitcher Cam Schlittler (14-6, 1.95 ERA, 239 Ks) is scheduled to start. The Red Sox will counter with Payton Tolle (9-6, 3.03 ERA, 171Ks).
Notable player absences and returns are expected for the series. Aaron Judge will not be on the Yankees' 26-man roster due to a calf injury. However, Giancarlo Stanton, who had been sidelined with a calf strain, is set to return to the lineup.
The series begins at 8:00 p.m. ET. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, also at 8:00 p.m. ET, with Game 3, if necessary, on Thursday, October 1, at the same time. All games will air on NBC and Peacock.
