Chanel Fong, 33, has told a court that the XL bully dog, named Cookie, which allegedly bit her partner's father causing him to bleed to death, was not "the type of dog to savage anyone." Fong denies being the owner of the dog at the time of the attack and faces a charge of the animal being dangerously out of control, as well as an alternative charge of being the person in charge of the dog.
Keven Jones, 62, of Chester, died from severe blood loss after being bitten on the leg. The incident occurred in May 2022 when Jones was staying at Fong's home in Wrexham. The court heard that Jones had existing health issues and was taking methadone and blood-thinning medication at the time of the attack.
