WWE Stars Join WhatsApp's 'The Chat' for NFL Game Reactions
Wrestlers including Cody Rhodes and Trick Williams will provide live commentary and fan interaction during select NFL matchups.
WWE Superstars are entering "The Chat," a feature from WhatsApp and OffBall, to offer live reactions and commentary during NFL games. This initiative aims to enhance the fan experience for NFL Sundays, beginning with the Week 6 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys.
Cody Rhodes and Trick Williams will represent the Cowboys in the chat, while Morgan will be aligned with the Packers. The Miz will also contribute additional commentary to the live discussion. This collaboration brings together the global appeal of both WWE and the NFL, allowing fans to connect with prominent figures from professional wrestling.
"Like WWE, the NFL brings fans together around the world, and I’m excited to share my passion for football as I join WhatsApp and OffBall for ‘The Chat’ on NFL Sundays," said Trick Williams. "Let’s talk about it."
Williams, the current U.S. Champion, has a background in football, having played in high school and college at Hampton University. He also had a tryout with the Philadelphia Eagles before pursuing a career in professional wrestling.
Further participating in "The Chat," Nikki and Brie Bella will support the Eagles during their Nov. 1 game against the Washington Commanders, with LA Knight backing the Commanders.
"The Chat" has previously featured notable personalities such as LeBron James, Deion Sanders, Daniel Ricciardo, and Kylie Kelce. WhatsApp, a platform used by over 3 billion people worldwide, facilitates these fan engagement opportunities.
