WWE's NXT Program Serves as Crucial Training Ground for Main Roster Superstars

The WWE's NXT brand and its associated Performance Center are instrumental in developing nearly every major superstar currently competing on the company's main Raw and SmackDown rosters. This pipeline is particularly evident when examining the participants of the Money in the Bank event, which features a roster heavily influenced by NXT alumni.

NXT is designed as WWE's developmental territory, providing training for individuals new to professional wrestling or those needing to hone their television presence before moving to the primary brands. While exceptions exist, such as Roman Reigns, who predates the NXT brand, and CM Punk, whose career developed outside WWE before a stint in Ohio Valley Wrestling, the vast majority of current WWE talent has spent time in NXT.

Jacy Jayne, the current Women's U.S. Champion, emphasized the comprehensive training environment at the WWE Performance Center. "The Performance Center is a very special place," Jayne told OutKick Dropkick. "I feel like they, well, not I feel, I know they have the best coaches in the world. There's a coach that can help you with literally everything. There's someone for everybody."

She added that the facility offers numerous classes and training opportunities, enabling wrestlers to learn the craft, develop confidence, and understand broadcasting elements. "So, they set you up for success. And I know it might not come as quick as some people want it to, and they get tired of being in the same routine, but it definitely pays off if you listen to what they have to say and you apply it."

Joe Hendry, a former NXT Champion who transitioned to WWE from Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), also lauded NXT's role in his development. "NXT was a fantastic resource for me. It allowed me to come into the company and to learn how WWE works very quickly," Hendry stated. "I took part in everything and I think that was a really important part of my career, and I think it was a huge part of my development personally. I think that’s a testament to the fact that I was able to win the NXT Championship and also, as you say, seeing the amount of superstars that are being called up from NXT to the main roster right now, that is a testament to the system."

The Money in the Bank card features numerous NXT graduates, including those competing in the ladder matches. Jayne herself is slated to participate in the women's ladder match alongside other NXT alumni like Lola Vice, Tiffany Stratton, Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, and Roxanne Perez. This consistent flow of talent from NXT to the main roster highlights the effectiveness of WWE's system in producing the next generation of wrestling stars.
