Wrestling World Mourns Death of AEW Star Pac at 40

The professional wrestling community is in mourning following the death of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Benjamin Satterly, widely known by his ring name Pac, at the age of 40. AEW confirmed his passing on Sunday, just one day after he competed at the promotion's All Out pay-per-view event in Chicago.

Fellow wrestlers and industry figures have shared their grief and paid tribute to Satterly. Will Ospreay, a colleague and fellow English wrestler, posted on X (formerly Twitter), "The greatest export from our country. Also the greatest human being. Honoured to have shared the ring with you so many times. You truly are such a hero to myself and many others. Forever our BASTARD. RIP Pac."

Kyle Fletcher described Satterly as his hero, stating, "I was lucky enough to meet my hero, work with my hero, but even more lucky to get to know him. He was a better man than I ever could have hoped for. I am heartbroken. I love you, Ben. Rest easy mate."

Danhausen, a wrestler who has worked for both WWE and AEW, shared a touching message: "Pac – one of the kindest, most welcoming people in the locker room. Rest in peace."

Nick Wayne, the youngest champion in AEW history, recalled a moment of encouragement from Satterly after a 2024 match. "I told him after the match ‘That was very inspiring for someone like me to watch, I hope to one day be as good as you, man.’ He smiled, thanked me and said ‘Awh Nick, you’re gonna be better than me someday,’" Wayne wrote. "For the next 2 years, the conversations, advice and positive thoughts going into things is something I always cherished."

Satterly, also known as Neville during his time with WWE, had a significant career in professional wrestling, gaining international recognition for his in-ring performances. His cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
