AJ Ferrari, a national champion and All-American wrestler, has been arrested for the third time during his college career. The charges include flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, and obstructing the police.

According to sheriff's department records, Ferrari is accused of driving his Corvette at over 120 mph on Highway 83 in an attempt to evade law enforcement. Following the high-speed pursuit, Ferrari crashed his vehicle into a ditch and then fled on foot before being apprehended.

Ferrari was booked on Saturday, though the specific time was not detailed in the records. His college career began at Oklahoma State in the 2020-21 season, and he still has one year of eligibility remaining.

This is not Ferrari's first encounter with law enforcement during his collegiate tenure. He was previously arrested twice. One arrest occurred amid a sexual assault case, which was later dropped. He later transferred to the University of Iowa, where he was noted for punching a teammate and making an offensive gesture toward the crowd.

Ferrari then moved to Cal State-Bakersfield, where he largely avoided legal issues and achieved a third-place finish in the NCAA Tournament in 2025. After an unsuccessful attempt to transfer to the University of North Carolina, he joined Nebraska for the most recent season. Earlier in that season, Ferrari was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Given his extensive legal record, Ferrari is unlikely to find another academic institution to compete for, despite having remaining eligibility.
