World Series Prediction: Rays vs. Brewers
An expert makes a bold prediction for the upcoming World Series, betting on the Milwaukee Brewers to secure their first championship.
In a confident World Series prediction, an expert handicapper has placed a $400 bet on the Milwaukee Brewers to win their first championship against the Tampa Bay Rays. This decision comes after a series of disappointing outcomes for the bettor, who lost on previous series involving both the Rays and the Brewers.
The Rays eliminated the Yankees and the Guardians, while the Brewers defeated the Padres and the Dodgers to reach the World Series. The handicapper, known as "Stitches," opted to bypass the initial games of the series, instead focusing on a futures bet for the Brewers at -175 odds on BetMGM.
This strategy aims to recover losses incurred throughout the postseason by potentially hedging later in the series or compensating through other sports like football, basketball, and hockey. The bettor noted a recent loss on an NHL game where the New York Islanders lost to the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 in overtime, despite a strong effort from the Islanders. Additionally, a recent NFL wager on the Chicago Bears beating the New England Patriots resulted in a split outcome, with the Bears winning 30-24. The bettor currently trails by 1,226 units.
The handicapper, who has been covering baseball for the Post since 2019, highlighted their past performance, including finishing in the black twice and winning the Post's NFL Best Bet crown in the previous year.
