Woman Uninvited from Friend's Wedding After Instagram Reel Causes Discord

A planned wedding celebration devolved into conflict, resulting in one woman being uninvited from her best friend's wedding via text message. The fallout stemmed from a three-day, $5,000 bachelorette party cruise to Mexico and an Instagram Reel posted by attendee Kit Barrus.
Barrus had volunteered to help organize games and decorate the bride's cabin door for the three-day trip. However, upon arriving at the cruise terminal, Barrus reportedly discovered a significant discrepancy in the costs, with one guest stating the total bill was $5,000 and another implying it was higher due to additional expenses.
Disagreements over the finances are said to have created tension among the group during the trip. Following the cruise, Barrus created a humorous Instagram Reel that alluded to the downsides of group travel. Although Barrus intended the Reel as a lighthearted joke, it was perceived as upsetting by some members of the bachelorette party.
Shortly after the Reel was posted, Barrus received a text message from the bride-to-be stating that she was no longer invited to the wedding. The message cited the Instagram Reel as the reason for the uninvitation, indicating that it had "upset everyone." This abrupt end to her invitation effectively dissolved a friendship that had lasted 17 years.
