A woman was struck by a vehicle at Flinders Street Station, a location near the route of the Melbourne Marathon. Witnesses told The Herald Sun that a pedestrian was hit as a driver accelerated towards a crowd, prompting police to draw their weapons.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed paramedics were dispatched to the scene at 11 a.m. One individual was transported to Royal Melbourne Hospital, according to an ambulance spokesperson.
