Taylor Palmby, a New York City resident, recently found herself living in what she identified as actor Jason Sudeikis's former apartment. Her discovery led to an unexpected invitation to the premiere of Sudeikis's show "Ted Lasso," allowing her to return a backlog of mail.
Palmby gained online attention after posting a video on Instagram detailing her experience. She explained that after moving into the apartment in May 2025, she began receiving mail addressed to Sudeikis. Initially, she was skeptical, but an online search confirmed the address was previously associated with the actor.
The viral video, which garnered over 749,000 views, caught the attention of Sudeikis or his team. Palmby specifically addressed Sudeikis in her video, expressing her admiration for his work and her desire to return his mail, including packages that appeared to be from the Writers Guild of America.
Following the online attention, Palmby received an invitation from Sudeikis's representatives to attend the premiere for the fourth season of "Ted Lasso" on August 4. At the event, she met Sudeikis and handed over his mail. According to reports, Sudeikis mentioned that approximately 20 people had sent him the video.
Palmby described the experience as "beautiful," noting it reminded her of the "beautiful and fun and whimsical" aspects of life. She recounted her initial disbelief upon realizing the connection to the actor.
Sudeikis and his former partner Olivia Wilde previously resided in a two-bedroom apartment in New York City's Meatpacking District. They sold that property in 2015, relocating to a larger home in Brooklyn, which Sudeikis still owns.
