The body of a woman was recovered from the water at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday. Emergency services were alerted to the unresponsive woman in the water at approximately 12:20 a.m. local time.
Paramedics and police responded to the scene. Despite attempts to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the woman could not be revived. She has not yet been formally identified.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death has been initiated, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
