A woman with multiple stab wounds was found dead in a gazebo in Central Park on Sunday morning, according to law enforcement sources.
Authorities located the body, which showed signs of significant trauma to the head and multiple slashes, at approximately 9:40 a.m. near 74th Street and East Drive, sources said. Emergency medical services pronounced the victim dead at the scene at 10:03 a.m.
As of Sunday afternoon, the cause of death was still under examination, and no arrests had been made. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
