Woman Found Dead Near King Charles's Estate, Murder Probe Launched
A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman found in Dersingham, Norfolk.
Police have initiated a murder investigation after a woman in her 40s was discovered deceased at a property in Fern Hill, Dersingham. The location is situated approximately one mile north of King Charles's Sandringham Estate.
Officers were alerted to the address by the ambulance service shortly after 2:20 a.m. yesterday morning. Upon arrival, they found the woman's body. As a result of the discovery, a man, also in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was taken to King's Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remains in custody.
A police cordon has been established at the property. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be carried out by the Home Office on Monday.
Detective Inspector Alix Wright, from the Norfolk and Suffolk major investigation team, stated that the investigation is in its preliminary stages. "We are in the very early stages of this investigation working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the woman's death," Wright said. "I'd ask anyone who believes they may have information that could help our investigation to please share this with us."
