A woman has died following a collision that occurred during a police pursuit on Monday evening. The incident involved a collision between an Audi, which was being pursued by police, and another vehicle. The pursuit began shortly before 5:30 p.m. BST on Birmingham Road when officers attempted to stop the Audi, but the driver failed to comply.

The crash happened approximately 15 minutes later. The driver of the vehicle that collided with the Audi, initially reported to be in her 70s, was taken to a hospital. Another woman, a passenger in the same vehicle, also sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries. A third patient from the collided vehicle had injuries not believed to be serious.

During the pursuit, the Audi reportedly traveled in the direction of the A46 before returning towards Stratford on the A439. Police stated that several other cars were damaged during the incident. Warwick Road was closed from the Marraway roundabout to its junction with Ingon Lane and Sand Barn Lane on Monday, and the road remained shut on Tuesday morning.

Manuela Perteghella, the Liberal Democrat MP for Stratford-on-Avon, described the incident as "incredibly tragic" and offered her condolences to the affected families. She stated that the investigation must be allowed to proceed. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is seeking information and has asked anyone with footage of the Audi or the pursuit to come forward.
