Samantha Nuttall, 49, appeared in custody at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Monday, July 20, 2026, after being charged with murder.
Greater Manchester Police responded to a call at a property on Ormrod Street in Bolton around 8 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026. Officers discovered the 75-year-old man deceased at the scene. Formal identification of the victim has been completed, and his next of kin have been notified.
Investigators processed the scene, with cordons in place around the property, identified as Hargreaves House. Forensics teams were present on Saturday morning.
Detective Inspector Louise Kelly stated that the Major Incident Team has launched a murder investigation and is pursuing lines of inquiry to determine the full circumstances of the incident. The police are appealing for information from the public to aid their investigation.
