Police have charged Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, with two counts of homicide following the discovery of her husband and 3-year-old son dead in a room at the Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, Pennsylvania. The couple's child died from a stab wound to the chest, while the husband sustained multiple stab wounds to the chest.

Authorities responded to the resort Monday after a 911 call from Harrison, who allegedly expressed suicidal thoughts and stated that her husband and son were already deceased. During the call, she reportedly mentioned having knives but being unable to use them and needing help dying.

A large butcher knife and a smaller knife, both with teal handles and not belonging to the resort, were found in the bathroom of the room where the bodies were discovered. The family had been staying at the lodge since September 21.

Investigators searched Harrison's home in Towanda on Wednesday, seeking evidence that might reveal the motive for the killings and connect the crime scene knives to other items. The search warrant application indicated that individuals in such situations may document their thoughts and intentions electronically or in writing.

Police were also looking for financial information and reasons why the family had left their home and stayed at the resort for an extended period. During the search, authorities seized nearly a dozen teal knives, a safe, a journal, a financial notebook, and a laptop.

Family members described Harrison to police as "dominant" and "controlling," alleging she had isolated the father and son. One relative claimed Harrison resented her son because she had not wanted to become pregnant and felt the toddler took away attention from her husband.

Harrison was denied bail during her arraignment and is currently in custody awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 21. Great Wolf Lodge issued a statement expressing deep sadness and confirming cooperation with law enforcement during their investigation.
