Police have arrested a 30-year-old woman on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a deceased woman in her 50s. The incident occurred in Ambrose Croft, Netherton, where officers were called around 10 a.m. on July 5, 2026.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained as authorities work to determine the full circumstances. Forensic teams were observed at the scene, and the area was cordoned off with emergency service vehicles present.
Detective Inspector Sara Lang stated that thoughts are with the family of the deceased and urged the public to refrain from speculation while the investigation is in its early stages. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to establish the cause of death.
