A manhunt is underway for the driver and passenger of a car that fatally struck a woman in Leeds on October 29. The incident occurred around 9:50 a.m. when a black Vauxhall Corsa failed to stop for West Yorkshire Police.

A pursuit was initiated, and two minutes later, the Corsa collided with a 36-year-old female pedestrian on Beckett Street. Officers immediately stopped to render aid to the woman, who was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. She later died from her injuries.

The Corsa was found abandoned a short distance away on Nippet Lane. The occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene. The vehicle has been impounded for forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation.

The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team has taken charge of the investigation and is appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
