The Wisconsin State Fair concluded Sunday night with widespread disturbances and a large-scale brawl that led to seven arrests. The incidents occurred in the final hours of the annual festival at the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds in West Allis.

Dozens of individuals were involved in multiple altercations that spread across the fairgrounds, according to video footage. One particularly violent incident captured on video showed at least five people in black clothing attacking a man near a food stand. Another person was seen being pushed to the ground and hitting their head on the concrete.

Fairgoers attempted to intervene and protect those being assaulted, while many others fled the scene. A police officer sustained a minor injury after being struck by an unidentified object. No other serious injuries were reported.

Fair officials released a statement condemning the behavior, noting that the disturbances were isolated to the final hours and did not represent the overall experience of the hundreds of thousands of attendees over the 11-day event. "The behavior is always unacceptable and is not what we expect or will tolerate at the Wisconsin State Fair Park," the statement read.

Earlier in the evening, police had also responded to a fight near the amusement rides. In an effort to enhance safety, the fair had implemented a policy requiring guests aged 17 and younger to be accompanied by an adult after 12 p.m., with each adult limited to chaperoning six minors. The fair reported enhanced security measures and increased law enforcement presence throughout the event.

The identities and ages of those arrested were not immediately released. Officials expressed gratitude to law enforcement partners for their response and work during the fair.
