Wisconsin Restaurant Staff Shield Woman from Pursuer

A woman in Wisconsin found unexpected protectors in the all-female staff of a local restaurant when a man began following her during an evening walk. Carly Major was walking her dog around Monona’s Lake Loop on Saturday when she noticed a man trailing her.

Recognizing the potential danger, Major diverted from her usual route to avoid leading the stranger to her home. She decided to head toward a nearby restaurant, Buck & Honey’s. The situation escalated when the man removed his shirt and crossed multiple lanes of traffic to intercept her path.

Fearing for her safety, Major ran into Buck & Honey’s and informed the staff that she was being followed. According to reports, the restaurant's female employees immediately provided her with a safe space away from view and offered support.

The man entered the restaurant shortly after and began asking about Major. The staff formed a protective barrier, preventing him from seeing Major and blocking his access. They then guided him out of the establishment and contacted the police.

Katie Leiter, the General Manager of Buck & Honey’s, expressed pride in her staff's protective actions. She described how the team responded instinctively to ensure Major's safety.

Beyond ensuring her immediate safety, the staff also provided Major with a meal, water for herself and her dog, and arranged a ride home. Leiter noted that one server even went to a nearby park to warn another woman about the man.
