Tiffany reported on Facebook that he and the pilot exited the sinking aircraft and swam to a shallow area, where they awaited rescue by boat. Both Tiffany and the pilot of the four-seat Bonanza sustained minor injuries. They were transported to Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where they received medical care.
Tiffany expressed gratitude towards the pilot and the first responders for their assistance in ensuring their safe rescue. He was later reunited with his wife, Chris, at the hospital.
